Leathermans are nice but this one was free to me so I can't complain too much. The Leathermans I have used were able to take on far more strenuous tasks that would have broken the Gerb-Dog. SOG , Gerber , Leatherman. I currently carry a Leatherman Charge TI. I have been carrying the Charge for a couple years and I really like it.
